Made in Japan II – 1964 Hino Contessa WIP 1

Projeto de Giovanni Michelotti para a Hino, sobre mecânica originalmente Renault (que era montada pela Hino no Japão). Os faróis, a coluna C, o teto "asa", são característicos do designer italiano, presentes em Alfas, BMWs e Triumphs. Os sedãs 4 portas Contessa foram também montados na Nova Zelândia, Austrália e Israel. Posteriormente a Hino lançou uma versão 2 portas.

Giovanni Michelotti's design for Hino, on an originally Renault platform (assembled by Hino in Japan). Headlights, square C pillar and roof with protruding trailing edge were Michelotti's styling cues also found in Alfas, BMWs and Triumphs back in the day. The 4-door Contessa sedan were also assembled in New Zealand, Australia and Israel. Hino later produced a handsome 2-door version.

Made in Japan: 1957 Prince Skyline

Uma mistura de estilos caracteriza o primeiro Skyline. A marca foi incorporada à Nissan mas o modelo ainda existe.

A blend of American and European features on the first Skyline model. Prince later merged with Nissan but the name Skyline lives on.

O Buick de 1961 tinha linhas esbeltas, quase leves. As curvas foram dando lugar a superfícies mais retas.

The new look for 1961: taut, sleek lines. As the 60s moved on, the curves would gradually give way to flatter surfaces.
