Embora fosse apenas o modelo 55 requentado, o shoebox original teve que durar até o advento do modelo "grande" de 57. Tarefa difícil mas muito bem executada por Frank Hershey, sob a supervisão de George Walker.
Although the 56 models were rehashed 55 Fords, the original shoebox body was given a prolonged life prior to the introduction of the "big" 57 model. Tough job with an excellent result, headed by Frank Hershey under George Walker.
